Many thanks to those families, individuals and businesses for helping assist the many kids in need who attend our basketball, volleyball and soccer instruction.  Your generosity makes it possible for these players to attend without having to worry about the financial end of it.  Or as Coach Wooden says "You have not lived a perfect day until you've done something for someone who can not re-pay you."

Our 3 core values ring true with many businesses and organizations:

  1. Limited number of attendees at all times, permitting # 2.

  2. Individualized instruction.  Work closely with each player, insuring improvement.  We exhibit great patience and follow through no matter what level of skill.  This is a hallmark.

  3. Weave into our player interaction the values of hard work, listening skills, individual responsibility and other key life traits that plainly apply on and off the court.  We mentor and model appropriately at all times.

If your organization has comparable values, partnering with Basketball Basics makes sense.  We work hard to earn a high degree of trust with our kids and parents.  Our partners will enjoy access to a client base that has open ears.

Our partnership offerings follow.  Please call or e-mail Coach McGannon if you are interested.  Thank you.

1. Gym Banner.  $750.  This permits your organization's banner to be hung in Basketball Basics gym in Ferrysburg.  There is NO COST to the banner, we will assume that responsibility.  This is a yearly fee.  Future years will NEVER see an increase in this fee.  Example:

Gym banners, 11-27-11

2. Web Page Sponsor.  $750.  This choice earns your business or organization a primary space on one of our web pages. (Analytics available).  A direct link to your web site includes a business summary on our page. This insures a clear introduction to your organization and legitimate brand awareness.  B2B web traffic is guaranteed.  If Coach McGannon has worked with your group in the past, a testimonial about your approach and effectiveness would be part of this choice.  See our Basketball Instruction Home Page for an example.  This is a yearly fee, and for groups making this choice, the fee will NEVER increase.

3. Choose both # 1 and # 2 above for a cost of $1000, a 33% savings.   Again, never a yearly increase for organizations once this partnership is chosen.

Other options for partnership

Over 20% of the kids who attend Basketball Basics instruction do so at a partial fee or NO FEE.  The fee will never prevent a player from attending.

1. Sponsor a group of kids, a team or just an individual player.  We have had many Booster Clubs involved in this manner. Maybe you know a group of kids that could benefit from our instruction and approach to the game.  Maybe these kids wouldn't attend because of the fees.  Sponsor this group into a camp, clinic or league.  Coach McGannon will often participate in some form of fee reduction as well, circumstances permitting.

2. Sponsor a batch of shirts.  These shirts make the rounds and are an effective way to reach kids, families, schools and communities with your brand, web site and logo. Shirts are roughly $4 each, we work with a Grand Rapids manufacturer and have a minimum purchase of $1000 (250 shirts).  Please inquire if interested. (616) 402-1600.

3. Equipment.  Our basketballs are fine but need replacement. ($50 each)  We also are in need of an electronic scoreboard ($400) and 2 ball racks ($600 each).

If you are a parent seeking direct assistance for your child or school, you have 3 options.

  1. Pay the fee partially.  Whatever percentage is up to you.

  2. Pay the fee over time, in installments. Again, you choose your own timetable.

  3. Do NOT pay the fee.  The fee will never prevent a player from attending.  All you have to do is ask.
