Abby Cole 6'5" 2013 Grand Haven
6’5” middle hitter/blocker. Because of her height and wing span, Abby is a fantastic addition to any offense or defense. She moves athletically and with great agility at the net, unusual mobility for a player her size. Abby is well versed in quicks, shoots, and slides behind the setter. (See video clip) She has the potential to become a powerful, offensive force with any college program as she works to fully utilize her reach, quicken her feet and capitalize on her power. Defensively, she is able to put up solid blocks against a fast offense and moves effectively in either direction to close with the outside blockers. She has great court vision and awareness. Abby is a coachable, team player with a terrific work ethic.

In 2010, as a sophomore middle hitter/blocker for Grand Haven High School, Abby was 1st team All-Conference, All-Area, and 2nd Team All-State in Michigan. During her high school season, she had 486 kills, 224 blocks, and a .390 hitting percentage. In the spring of 2011, Abby competes on the 16-1’s team at Michigan Volleyball Academy.
As a student, Abby holds a 3.7 grade point average and is a member of the National Honor Society, the Student Senate, FCA and First Priority. She does volunteer work for No More Sidelines, a special needs group based in Muskegon.

Starting Center on varsity her sophomore year (2010-11), on # 1 ranked team in Class A in Michigan. Went 26-0 before losing in state semis to Detroit Renaissance 39-38.
