Please note Coach Pi will be both the practice coach and the game coach.  Players who try out and make the teams will have weekly practices with one of the most talented and competitive coaches in Michigan.  Coach Pi was a high school All American, played D-1 VB at the University of North Carolina, was ACC Freshman of the Year and ACC All Conference, attended the Olympic Festival twice and played professional volleyball on the AVP Tour for 5 years.  She has 6 years of elite level coaching experience in Illinois.

Your daughter will be given the tools to reach her volleyball potential.  She will compete at a higher level having had this experience with Volleyball Basics

Action 7

General Info and Approach:

  1. Minimal parental involvement
  2. These are not hand picked teams.
  3. No practices over holidays
  4. Player Profile Form

Playing time

More than 80% of our time together is in PRACTICE.  ALL players play ALL the time in practice.

Match Time

Court time will be determined by a player's performance in practice.  Having said that, each player will be given the opportunity to compete in tournaments.

What if my daughter is already on a Club team?

There are many local ties and friendships on teams from previous years.  If the social component of these teams is equal to or greater than the competitive component, these players should stay with their teams.  If however you are looking for the strongest potential for competitive growth for your daughter, our approach at Volleyball Basics offers that.  It’s also a great opportunity to meet and play with kids from different communities with different skill sets.

Welcome to Volleyball Basics Club!  In 2012, we managed one 14's team and one 16's team. Our vision for the Volleyball Basics program is to expand the numbers and levels of teams with each calendar year. As players move into a new age group, our model will expand our offerings for 2013, allowing our players to remain competitive within the Volleyball Basics family.  Our controlled growth is imperative as our focus and attention on quality coaching is of the utmost importance.

"I am very excited to work with your daughters in this competitive setting.  Please note 80% of our time together will be in PRACTICE, in Ferrysburg.   Our quality, instructional practices lead to competitive growth."

Pi
